About this artwork
Using her signature painting and collage technique, artist Margriet Hogue created this small statement work. I layered paint and paper and then distressed the surface through sanding and scraping, explains Margriet. The process reflects a passage of time and weathering. She finished the work with varnish and a layer of cold wax for added texture.
