About this artwork
In this dynamic abstract, artist Margriet Hogue used many different types of handmade paper with acrylic paint, which she then distressed through sanding and scaping. Ink was used to draw extra elements and the red curls were added at the end along with a final coat of wax, says Margriet. The curls refer to the curls found on a redhead.
