About this artwork
A layered modern abstract in complementary colors of black, white and chartreuse. I applied rectangular pieces of paper to a painted surface, over which I applied another layer of paint and distresses this through sanding, shares artist Margriet Hogue. Next, I applied hand-painted pieces of paper along with cut-out circles, and some of those were sanded to show what lies underneath.
