About this artwork

Artist Margriet Hogue expresses an abstract composition in different shades of blue. She layers paper for the base and paints over it with abandon. Fierce strokes of pastels and pencils sprawl the surface vigorously. Margriet ruffles the finish by scraping and sanding selected areas.
