About this artwork
In this layered modern abstract, artist Margriet Hogue collaged handmade paper on a painted surface, which she then sanded and painted again. I added two smaller panels, says Margriet. One contains a metal plate that I laced on. This is part of a series called Sanctuary that I started during shelter-in-place. The title refers to being shut-in.
