About this artwork

The pastel artwork captures the beauty of Cape Cod. Low tide in the early morning reveals the subtle contours of the surrounding dunes. Natural breakwaters anchored by seagrass protect the bay and the small boats harbored within. Dinghies rest at different angles where the receding tide left them. Even the green boat will soon hold steady, at least until the tide goes into reverse, releasing it once again to the whimsy of the breezes. Artist Jakki Kouffman recommends framing the piece under glass for protection.
