Tell Me Again How You Love to Fly
About this artwork
I imagine sitting on a plane, looking out the window shortly after takeoff, and being struck by the beauty that always moves me when I fly, shares artist Agata Kijanka. Working quickly and instinctively with some of her favorite colors and bypassing too much thought, Agata allows for the visual energy to come through. Using mainly thin, pliable layers of oil and cold wax, Agata rolls on paint with brayers. In addition to this, she smears paint on and then scrapes parts of the surface with silicone brushes. Portions are then removed with solvent.
