Sandstone and Snow
About this artwork
Agata took a different approach to abstracting this Sedona-inspired snowy landscape, with its intentional lack of horizon. Sedona is an elevating experience, spiritually and visually, she explains. Painting this piece in memory of the first snowfall I experienced living there, I wanted to focus on the vertical nature of the cliffs. I like how this piece reminds me of walking next to one of my favorite formations during a whiteout of snowfall. The sides are painted a dark chocolate color.
