About this artwork

It's a muted meditative exploration of how physical distance, as well as the distance created by the passage of time, affects our experiences of memory and place, shares artist Agata Kijanka. Layers of oil paint and cold wax create detailed textural nuances within the gradation of light corals to rust. Contrasting teal peek through revealing a hint of a destination beyond.
