About this artwork

A woman in a red and blue turban and shirt looks beyond the frame. The soft, blurred edges of her form give her a dreamlike presence. Artist Nicholas Robertson brought together a sum of inspirations in creating this portrait. He drew the initial source from an art curator whose conversational style comes alive through fluid hand gestures, then incorporated additional influences from his trip to Norway.
