About this artwork
Artist Hope Rambo weaves a harmonious visual composition of different elements. She creates an image of Japanese actress Ai Hashimoto, the El Caminito in Buenos Aires, a depiction of flowers by Randy Grskovic, and a page from the 1954 Hong Kong issue of National Geographic. Each fragment, meticulously chosen, adds a layer to the narrativeÑa story of beauty, culture, and history. Hope uses photo editing software to merge photographs. She gradually blends them into one multi-layered image and uses them as references for her works.
