About this artwork

Red dahlias glow vibrantly against dark green leaves. Artist Nicholas Robertson observed the subject at Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire, UK, and in his garden. He used vigorous brushwork and texture to emulate the tangled agitation of foliage and flowers.
