About this artwork

What is the attraction to city and rain, asks Swarup. As the asphalt gets soaked, the scent of rain and wet earth starts one on a journey backwards, to childhood days of listening to the rain falling against the windowsill, to those first memories of dancing together in the rain, to those of walking alone in the rain so that no one can see you crying... This painting reinterprets the romance of rain in the city.
