About this artwork

Artist Dwight Smith paints a realistic still life with a touch of surrealist composition. "I grew up in Maryland and autumn or harvest time was my favorite time of year," says Dwight. "The apple of course represents the moon and the bounty from the earth. The pottery, cup, and bowl are the farm. A full moon at that time of year is truly unforgettable."
