About this artwork

While visiting friends, artist Onelio Marrero woke in the early hours to a beautiful spectacle of freshly fallen snow in their yard. The playground lay covered in white, creating an invitation to stay home and enjoy the freshness of winter. The lively contrasts of light, dark, and complementary colors evoke the feeling of the morning sky breaking the darkness of night. The scene reminded Onelio of a song by Mat Pond PA titled "Snow Day."
