About this artwork

Red and yellow fields stretch across the scene in a shifting viewpoint. Warm tones mark each section of the land, with lines leading toward the distant hills. Artist Rob van Hoek used the back of a paintbrush, cotton swabs, and kitchen paper to etch details onto the composition. The title of the artwork comes from a song by Death Hawks.
