Artist Faye Vander Veer depicts a small group of people gathered around the statue of Venus at the Louvre in Paris. Sunlight streams from the left casting shadows onto the patterned floor, providing a warm peacefulness to the painting. The visitors keep their hushed discussions between themselves. You could almost hear a pin drop, says Faye. I purposely kept the colors soft and muted in keeping with the mood in the room.
