About this artwork

While visiting Paris a few years ago, Faye was inspired by the way the late afternoon sunlight cast its long shadows across this busy street corner. The warm dappled light seemed to make everything it touched vibrate with color, she says. As for the title, Faye mentions that her work has been compared to Edward Hopper. This painting in particular is reflective of Hopper's style, with the couple cropped in the bottom corner, almost asking, Where Do We Go from Here?
