About this artwork

Soft, organic shapes open and overlap, transforming botanical forms into an abstract landscape of curves and contours. Translucent washes of magenta, yellow, blue, and gray build depth and movement throughout the composition. Artist Mabel Serena draws inspiration from Georgia O’Keeffe’s floral paintings, exploring the interplay of color and form. The shapes suggest valleys and ridges, evoking the gradual unfolding of a flower.
