About this artwork

This is one of artist Heather Foster's favorite local hiking paths. The intriguing part of aspens is that the groves are connected via their root system, explains Heather. Visually, on the surface, they look so separated and with the strong shadows, create an almost abstracted division of the scenery; however the connectivity underneath is an appealing thought. This piece has continuity to other recent paintings - it is amazing how many colors are found in what is perceived by the mind as being only white.
