Stanley Tween
About this artwork
There is that point when kids are looking grown but at the same time still look like the young kids that they are, muses artist Heather Foster. This guy was standing alone in a field near Stanley, New Mexico and was the epitome of that awkward in-between age, not even the equivalent of a teenager, so I labeled him as a tween. The mountains in the distance became a blue line, since Stanley is a wide-open flat plain, leaving the bold blue of the underpainting to remain visible.
