About this artwork

An assemblage using sixteen small cradled panels arranged in varying orientations, creating a three-dimensional effect. Bright yellow and orange intersected with red and purple and set in black. This appeals to my love of geometry where edges meet, creating triangles, rectangles, and parallelogram, explains artist Janine Etherington. Once I oriented the square elements, I returned to the assemblage as a whole and went back in with new lines and shapes to add to the developing story. This piece was inspired by Thelonious Monk's tune In Walked Bud.
