About this artwork
Artist Dowa Hattem sought to express the whisper of the flowers hanging from the tops of the trees through the delicacy and lightness of their petals. Despite their lightweight and vibrant leaves, they seem heavy on the thin branches. In a deliberate display of vitality, some roses appear to be trying to climb up and breathe in the summer sun's rays. These delicate pink roses symbolize the joy of life.
