About this artwork

A dancing woman wears a blue dress covered in gold polka dots. Warm lighting gives her figure a stage-like appearance, while the cropped composition creates strong shapes and rhythm. Artist Duane Brown shared that he added the polka dots, inspired by the 19th-century dance craze, to give the work a more playful quality.
