About this artwork

I always love to tell stories in my painting and thought it would be fun to paint this small flag with a taped piece of paper with the pledge of allegiance. When you become a U.S. naturalized citizen they give you this small flags to keep as souvenirs. When I saw this flag placed on my apartment's wall, the way it curls and casts its shadows on the wall, I got inspired to paint it. This painting is painted on masonite panel and will need a frame for display.
