About this artwork

While walking in Manhattan in search of subjects to paint, artist Onelio Marrero came across a road crew working on Madison Avenue at night. The contrast of workers in bright traffic vests against the elegant backdrop of Vera Wang’s iconic wedding dress shop caught his attention. Bold strokes and vivid colors capture the scene, while rising steam forms ethereal clouds above the street.
