About this artwork

This evocative painting depicts a young couple engaged in deep conversation. The artists understanding of value and color harmony conveys the somber, moody atmosphere of this moment in time. I couldn't help but notice this couple sitting alone at the bar while visiting Sears restaurant in San Francisco. I could tell by their body posture, they were deep in thought and conversation. With each brushstroke, I wondered what they were talking about. It kept changing.
