About this artwork

In his signature photorealistic style, artist David Shepherd shows an eye surrounded by flowers. He views it as a unique identifier, much like a fingerprint, yet one that also reveals a shared sense of humanity. Although each belongs to an individual, its beauty transcends differences in identity, background, and beliefs. Through this contrast, David reflects on both our individuality and the connections we share.
