About this artwork

Mandy Main is passionate about midcentury architecture and design, and in fact she lives in a midcentury home. She contrasts the iconic geometric shapes of the architecture with the organic forms of the surrounding vegetation. The facade of this house is mostly glass and the focus here is on the hard-edged windows filled with reflections of flowing palm trees. Brilliant sunlight sparkles on the intricate geometric garden screen and desert plants, lighting up a subdued palette of warm colors.
