My work may seem simple on first view, but there are layers upon layers, paint scrubbed off and replaced by other colors, paint loaded on or drawn through with the knife, thereby changing its appearance, says Patricia. In doing so, the surface changes from subtle to complex. Every surface is in fact crowed with complexity.
