About this artwork
Storm clouds suggest a rough sea ahead, Patricia says of this dynamic abstract. The word tumultuous best describes the upper portion as to that of a very strong storm, while the lower half tells the story of the calmness beneath the surface. Patricia builds her compositions intuitively with palette knives, blending colors and developing texture directly on the surface of her panels. In this painting, deep black, blue-green and rust orange hang over a cream and beige register.
