About this artwork

The artwork depicts a serene and meditative composition, blending abstraction with landscape photography. The textured white field envelopes an oval image reminiscent of 19th century tonalist landscape paintings. Artist Candice Eisenfeld made the larger sections of the piece through photographic transfer taken during her visit to Tennessee.
