About this artwork

An impressionist piece of a beautiful woman with red hair. Often I start sketching on canvas with a brush and something will just evolve, having been simmering and busting to come out in some way. I'm often surprised at the faces, they seem to convey a life of their own, a unique personality that is almost separate from me. In other words, I don't know how they happen.
