About this artwork

In western Washington, between Mt. Rainier and the Pacific Ocean, Porter Creek flows under a high canopy of conifers, winding through hills and ferns. This quintessential Pacific Northwest setting is verdant and thriving, with flora flourishing in every crevice. Dense foliage and towering trees filter the sunlight, creating a soft, dappled glow. In a short series of four paintings, artist Henry Caserotti explores the beauty and mystery of this fertile environment.
