About this artwork

In the most remote area in the lower 48 United States lies a wilderness through which the Salmon River runs. Few trees dot the rugged rocks, adding touches of green to the dominantly white and gray scenery. The canyon's beauty inspires artist Henry Caserotti to make two paintings of the location. Although nearly abstract, they explore the visual nuances of the landscape when viewed from afar or up close. While each artwork stands alone, they complement each other when shown together.
