Jardin des Tuileries
About this artwork
Joey created this painting as a modernist interpretation of the Jardin des Tuileries in central Paris, bordered by the River Seine, the Louvre, the Place de la Concorde and the Rue de Rivoli. The Tuileries boasts some 55 acres and has been represented by artists for centuries, says Joey. With this painting, the colors of spring flowers soothe the viewer, as they do for strollers through the park on a May day.The piece is framed in a hand-built oak hardwood frame that measures 2 in depth and .25 thick.
