About this artwork

After learning from his painting mistakes, artist Benjamin Thomas now embraces experimentation. He notes that using a palette knife to apply paint quickly often results in "good mistakes" he can build upon. In this piece, he uses that technique to depict pastel-colored clouds drifting through the sky.
