About this artwork
This painting is one of my impressions of the quiet & peace of the rural American Heartland. I have long been drawn to old farmsteads and wanted to portray the feel of a vast sky over this one. I most often work from memories of scenes that I love from the country. My contemporary folk art landscapes are painted simply from the heart. In my work I strive to capture the feeling of quiet peace and serenity, that I find in the country. This acrylic painting is done on .75 deep, gallery wrap canvas, with the sides painted dark green to match. It comes ready to hang!
