Stefan Conka is a self-taught landscape painter from Slovakia. He often drives around looking for nice scenery. If he’s lucky, a beautiful scene will suddenly appear out of the blue. Other times he has to walk for miles to discover it, or even paint entirely from imagination. Stefan delights in the interplay between objects and light, and hopes to share that joy with the viewer.

Oil painting is just one way I express myself. I've been captivated by landscape painting since I was young, and it has become my greatest passion.
Art is everything to me. It's my way of truly bringing something into existence. Painting allows me to see the world in a new light and transform it into something that resonates with me. While fame may not be my goal, I've achieved things I never thought possible. I paint landscapes because I adore them. The colors they hold evoke deep feelings within me, and I aim to convey this emotional experience to those who view my work.
