Daniel Caro
Mexico City, Mexico
Artist Daniel Caro blends classic realism with a modern twist in his still-life compositions. Although he wanted to study Fine Arts, he honed his skills through independent learning. "Being a self-taught artist is like a roller coaster of satisfaction and disappointment," says Daniel. His journey began in 2009, drawing everyday objects and sharing them on online art forums. One day, a woman saw his works and insisted on sending him a set of painting materials. Touched by her generosity and support, Daniel promised he would give her a painting in return. Although he never heard from her again, her gift launched Daniel into painting. He now works in a small studio in Mexico City and fills the air with music. When not painting, Daniel enjoys skating on the streets. His artworks appeared at the ArtBo Art Fair, the Affordable Art Fair, the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM), the Museum of Contemporary Art of Yucatan, and the International ARC Salon. Daniel has also exhibited and auctioned his painting at Sotheby's.
