About this artwork
Naoko says that when she came upon this scene, the willow tree - with its leaves turned yellow - looked like a huge sweet candied ginger. Warm and transparent golden lights reflected on the leaves and twinkled like crystalized sugar. Then the wind blew, and the tree shook like falling fireworks.
