As an autumn chill slowly descends on hot and humid summer days in Texas, artist Kristine Kainer anxiously awaits the arrival of pumpkins to her area. Though the largest ones spend their time in the yard to herald the harvest season, miniature pumpkins are found throughout her home--even on her easel's shelf--to remind her of the colorful, crisp autumn days of her previous life on East Coast.
