About this artwork

Artist Nick Savides demonstrates a realistic view of Rivington and Forsyth's corner in the Lower East Side. The piece features an interpretation of the Creative Resilience mural by Danielle Mastrion. The woman gazes out, one eye blocked by a tree, while graffiti slowly takes over the wall. Nick paints diagonals in different aspects of the composition, from the woman's face to the shadows, clouds, the arc of the bird's back, the curb, and a tree branch.
