About this artwork

This painting is from my memories of a delightful visit to the gardens of Claude Monet in Giverny, France. It is an expression of the abundance and charm of that lovely place. It is done almost entirely in transparent watercolor, and is enhanced with a bit of gouache, particularly in the lively green trim used there at Giverny.
