About this artwork

Pear Nectar, I must confess, is my wife's idea. I was setting up still life's to paint and my wife places a tiny wooden cup on the table, tie's a purple ribbon around a pear stem and holds it over the cup. I said great idea. The fruit of the spirit. It symbolizes the pure quality of the pear grown from the earth and harvested with pure intentions. It is painted in the realist tradition with a square format.
