About this artwork

This painting is of a popular hiking area in the foothills of Mt. Diablo, in northern California. I especially liked the way the light came through the group of trees where the two hills merged, and gave a promise of glowing sunshine beyond them. It is painted in watercolor to the edges of the heavy weight watercolor paper, and will need a mat and frame to hang.
