About this artwork

Pastry House is a modern themed still life watercolor painted in the realist tradition. I deliberately juxtaposed rough organic twigs with the soft pastel colors of the doughnut. Besides the fact that I love painting clothes pins, it indicates purpose and intention. The pastry house isn't random in location. As always, the nest is a very spiritual significance for me.
