About this artwork

I started this painting en plein air in Monet's garden in Giverny, France. I was there in October, yet the garden was still full of color, and I was enchanted, really, to be painting in the very place Monet did so much of his work. I wanted my style to be a little influenced by his garden paintings. The piece is on 140 lb. watercolor paper. The painted area measures 8.25" x 10.25" leaving space for easy matting and framing.
