About this artwork

Artist Jinny Tomozy presents bold blooms of Brugmansia sanguine in the style of realism. Sometimes called the scarlet angel trumpet, it has large bold blooms that are quite striking when you see a whole tree full of them, says Jinny. She highlights their delicacy in contrast to the bold statement they make in a garden. Soft folds and veins of tissue-like texture map the petals adjacent to the patterns of the dense leaves.
