About this artwork
Mondrian in wood, states artist Mitchell Erick. Taking inspiration from Piet Mondrian's work, Mitchell sets floating angular shapes in colors of blue, red, and white creating a three-dimensional rendition. I used some of the common shapes, heavy lines, limited palette and compositional simplicity made famous by the Dutch painter.
